The head of state traveled to address Ukrainian forces in the eastern front on Tuesday. Zelenskyy announced that he met with soldiers at the command post of the first unit of the state defense force Azov, which is leading defense efforts in the Dobropillya sector, an urban center approximately a short distance from the focal point.

Critical Situation in the Region

Recent mapping from a local initiative indicated that Russian forces had made gains into Pokrovsk and its environs, though much of it was not fully held by either side. The Mediterranean country summoned Russia's deputy ambassador on the weekday to challenge what it said were offensive, concerning and unacceptable remarks by Russian diplomatic representative who connected the fatal incident of a tower in Rome to Italy's military support for the conflict zone.
